      The school was established in the year 1938 and is managed by the Department of Education.It is located at pranty (Panikhar),Tehsil Taisuru,which falls in the pristine valley of suru of Kargil District (Ladakh). The school is full-fledged senior secondary having classes from 9th to 12th standard.The secondary wing cater to the children from class IX to X is very beautiful and well equiped. The senior wing cater to classes from XI to XII. The school has a compter lab,physics,chemistry,biology laboratries and also has an ICT lab.A library in the 1st floor has more than 600 books. The school is Co-educational and is not using school building as a shift-school. considering the need of the hour English has been kept as medium of instruction.This school is approachable by all weather road.
